“I joined The Big Issue more than five years ago when I moved to Cape Town permanently to seek employment. My brother, who’s also a Big Issue vendor, introduced me to the organisation. I come from Cofimvaba, a rural area in the Eastern Cape.

I was raised with my three siblings by a single parent.
