Korora 26 Gnome
Linux Format
|December 2017
Trying Korora is one way of familiarising yourself with the characters in Finding Nemo. Shashank Sharma, however, likes it for its simplicity and usability.
-

Korora strives for a new release within a few weeks of upstream Fedora updates, offering KDE, Mate, Cinnamon, Xfce and Gnome editions. It spends the intervening time making a number of changes to make the distro more usable to a wider range of users out of the box. This is why the distro ships with a number of proprietary codecs and various apps that aren’t part of the default Fedora, due to licensing concerns.
Another major change between Korora and Fedora is that the former ships with a smaller default set of applications. In fact, you’ll only find one application per task. While the default collection should suffice for most users, you can always flesh out the distro using the software repositories which carry thousands of additional packages.
