In just four short years, Apple has revolutionized the way we work out and monitor our health with Apple Watch.

Rings A Simple Way To Track & Improve Your Health

We take a closer look at how the device has saved lives, how Rings are helping to ‘gamify’ exercise, and explain why it’s not too late to get started with Apple Health.

APPLE HEALTH IS BIG BUSINESS

Whilst the iPhone and iPad enabled Apple to become the world’s most valuable company, the Cupertino firm has been looking for new ways to appease investors and add new revenue streams to its bow, especially as it fights a changing landscape where consumers are less likely to update their smartphones and the market becomes more saturated. Indeed, Apple announced in its 2019 earnings report that it had suffered lower-than-expected iPhone sales, not only because of falling demand in China but because of the iPhone battery scandal, which resulted in the firm offering bargain-price battery replacements for as little as $29 following the intentional slowdown of phones in iOS. One of the ways the firm had hoped to increase sales and ensure growth was through its services division, launching Apple Music in 2015 after buying the Beats brand for $3 billion.

However, as the company continues to diversify and change its angle in today’s competitive technology market, many expect that Apple Health will be one of Apple’s biggest divisions in the coming years, with the Apple Watch naturally at the forefront. Apple Watch launched in 2015 and immediately transformed the smartwatch and health monitoring market, quickly surpassing the likes of Fitbit and iconic watch manufacturers such as Rolex and Swatch. One of the biggest draws for the Apple Watch was fitness, with everyone from professional sportspeople to stay-at-home moms using Apple’s easy activity monitoring.
