The Dragon King

There was a kingdom in a faraway land that was ruled by a king who was so just and kind that all his subjects loved him.
Once the king marched off with his army to fight a war against his neighboring territory. At that time, his own kingdom was invaded by a band of dragons that were living in the jungle for ever so long. The people of the kingdom were frightened. They could only watch and wait in agony for their king to return and fight the dragons.
Meanwhile, the leader of the dragons sat on the king’s throne, put on the king’s crown on his enormous green head and declared that he, the Green Headed Dragon, would be the king of the land! The poor subjects were scared stiff of the Dragon King! They were even afraid to go near the palace which was heavily guarded by two fire-spewing dragons at the gates. If the subjects did flatter the guard dragons into letting them into the palace, they had another terrifying sight waiting for them. The Green Headed Dragon king sat on their dear king’s golden throne, surrounded by many more courtier dragons of various sizes that glared at the puny humans and made the most dreadful of noises!
