for their third wedding in less than two months, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker really went all-out. “Anytime any one’s with Kourt and Travis, you can feel the love, but this was truly spectacular,” a source says of the pair’s May 22 nuptials in Portofino, Italy. “They really played up the romantic Italian setting. The theme was la dolce vita!”

The sweet life, indeed. “No detail was overlooked,” the source says of the $2 million extravaganzas that spanned three days. Fashion designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana hosted the happy couple and their 35 guests at their lavish home on the Italian Riviera. Kourtney and Travis — who got engaged in October, unofficially tied the knot in a spontaneous “practice” ceremony in Las Vegas on April 4 and legally wed at a Santa Barbara, Calif., court house on May 15 — “couldn’t wait to finally celebrate with their family and close friends. It was a truly magical weekend.” Of course, there was also some unexpected drama that almost derailed everything. “This is the Kardashian family!” says the source. “There were a number of times things could have gone horribly wrong.”

For starters, Kim “threw a fit” because her beau, Pete Davidson, 29, refused to come because he was making his final appearance on Saturday Night Live that weekend. “They had their first fight over it,” says the source. “Kim couldn’t understand why he wasn’t going to be by her side, but he felt obligated to say a proper goodbye after all the show has done for him.”
