With her head hung low, a glum-looking Julia Roberts was spotted shopping at Trancas Market in Malibu on June 2 — and, as usual, her husband, Danny Moder, was nowhere in sight. Going their separate ways has been a recurring pattern of late, an insider tells Star, and as summer gets underway, the once-golden couple continues to drift even farther apart, with Julia jet-setting overseas for work and Danny opting to hang out with friends instead of being by her side. “It seems like they’re spending less and less time together, which is clearly taking a toll,” the source says. “And when they’re under the same roof, they’re constantly butting heads. It’s beyond tense.”
