In an incredibly soapy stunt, Thomas was ready to dump Zoe at the altar to marry the love of his life, Hope, who had materialized clad in the wedding gown he’d designed for her. Blissfully unaware of the twist of fate in store for him, Thomas thought everything was going according to plan. Douglas, unhappy about his father rushing into marriage with Zoe, had caused a scene and stormed upstairs, and Hope followed to try to comfort him. When she initially failed to return, Thomas started to sweat: Would he actually have to go through with this service? “I don’t want to rush this, all right? It’s too important,” he stammered at the altar, as Zoe insisted they continue. So, vows were exchanged, as were rings, but just as Carter got to, “Until death do you part,” Hope reappeared, a vision in white. Gasps ensued, then a hush fell over the room.
