Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s pet obsession Padmavati is shrouded with controversies. Having a stellar cast of Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor and a host of others, Bhansali has not spared any money to make this into his grandest offering. His reputation for being a hard task master and a stickler for perfection is well known. This offering is supposed to surpass anything he has done before. Ranveer Singh who plays a bad man is so involved in his role that he is worried that in future, he might only get offers as a villain. “One of my seniors, and who I believe is one of the greatest actors of all time, advised me to be careful,” he said in an interview. “She told me the Indian audience is naïve. If they love a character, the love will transferred to the actor who played it. In this case, if they hate my character, the hate will be transferred to me.”

Deepika and her Ghoomar dance has already created a major controversy. Rumours are that Shahid Kapoor is not happy being over shadowed by the other stars.
