How has your relationship with Parineeti Chopra grown, especially as a co-actor?

She’s always been a very good actor. I see her on-set as a co-actor and I see that she’s very into her craft, she wants to make this her life. She’s had her success but her core values have stayed the same. Obviously, people around you change, life happens. You mature, you learn, you grow. There’s a certain calmness to her that’s been there since she started off. She’s seen highs, she’s seen lows. And that always teaches you. A career of six years is very long in this profession. This profession is designed to change you. Fighting that change at a personal level and still changing and evolving as a professional is the best quality you can have.

You’ve created a new image for yourself as the responsible family member, as a better brother, a better son. Do you think that this was a responsibility that was suddenly thrust on you?

I’ve always been like that, I’ve always been the one to take care of my sisters whether it’s Sonam or Rhea. I’ve just never showcased it because that’s not my style.
