She’s one of the most accomplished actresses in Hollywood, but Charlize Theron admits that taking on her latest film, Bombshell — the story of the women who brought down former Fox News CEO RogerAiles by coming forward with their accounts of sexual harassment — wasn’t an easy task. “In the beginning, I was struggling with a lot of personal and emotional issues,” saysCharlize, 44, who stars as controversial journalist MegynKelly. “But[director] Jay [Roach] helped me a lot[and] made it easier for me to get into this part,” she continues. “He told me this isn’t a Megyn Kelly movie,[it’s]just a year in her life,[and] we wanted to tell the truth of her story.”As she celebrates the drama’s release,the mom of two — Jackson, 7, and August, 4 — chats more about the movie, her costars and her 2020 Golden Globe nomination.
