Whether you’ve got a hectic workload or you’re spending countless hours in the gym, there are plenty of reasons why many of us need to improve our sleep at night. ‘Sleep plays a fundamental role within our mental, physical, emotional and social health, which then determines our lifestyle,’ explains sleep specialist Olivia Arezzolo (oliviaarezzolo.com.au).

On average, most of us need around seven to nine hours of shut-eye every night for optimum health. During that time our body repairs itself, performing essential functions and clearing toxins from our system. And Olivia also says there’s a good reason why it’s known as beauty sleep, with ‘collagen cells rejuvenating to give us our radiant glow’.
