First things first – yes, Australia’s fifth and freshest Bachelor Matty Johnson is as divine in the flesh as he is on screen! And he is even more adorable loved-up, which the 31-year-old confirms he now is, thanks to successfully finding the girl of his dreams on his season of The Bachelor.

How do you feel now filming has finished?

I feel pretty fantastic right now.

Is everyone asking about your special lady?

I’ve only spoken to my friends and family, and they’ve asked me if I’m happy and if I’m in love. The answer to both is yes and yes!

Will it be hard to keep her a secret?

Yeah, definitely. I want to tell everyone about it, but you’ve got to bottle that up and keep it a secret from everyone and that’s really difficult. You want to tell everyone and you want to introduce that person to your friends and family, but you can’t.

You just have to hit the pause button?

Exactly! Which I know will be difficult and frustrating at times, but I can’t wait until that moment when I can tell everyone and be open about it.
