Kate and William, who currently call Kensington Palace in London and Anmer Hall in Norfolk home, "think the queen should be surrounded by family at the moment," shares an insider. "They'll help her hold down the fort."

She spent the better part of seven decades living at London's Buckingham Palace even giving birth to three of her four children there. But in March, it was revealed that Queen Elizabeth II, 96, had moved to her weekend home, Windsor Castle, full-time to lead a quieter life in the country.

The noise level may rise, though, once the monarch's new neighbors unpack. And happily so. Life & Style has learned that Prince William and Kate Middleton are relocating their young family to Adelaide Cottage on his grandmother's estate. "The queen is delighted with the news!" says an insider, noting she's experienced "bouts of loneliness" since the 2021 passing of husband Prince Philip and scaling back on royal duties in the wake of her own health woes. "William and Kate want to be there to support and keep her company, and the queen is welcoming them with open arms."
