Jennifer Lopez's obsession with planning the perfect wedding to celebrate her second chance with Ben Affleck is going off the rails

Everything imploded spectacularly the first time. Twenty years ago, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck fell in love on a movie set and were engaged by the end of 2002. But just days before they were set to marry, in September 2003, they called off their wedding, blaming "excessive media attention." After they found themselves "seriously contemplating hiring three separate 'decoy brides' at three different locations, we realized that something was awry," they explained at the time. "We began to feel that the spirit of what should have been the happiest day of our lives could be compromised. We felt what should have been a joyful and sacred day could be spoiled for us, our families and our friends." That wedding was never rescheduled, and four months later, Bennifer broke up.

Now - two months into their second engagement following a 2021 rekindling of their love their fresh chance at happily ever after is facing a new threat: "J. Lo has turned into the bride from hell," says a source, explaining that the singer-actress, 52, is so determined to get things right this time - for her fourth and, she hopes, final trip down the aisle that she's inadvertently self-sabotaging their big day. "She's going to extremes to have the ceremony of the century with Ben and is so determined for everything to be absolutely perfect that she's become a bridezilla."
