White, whose father is a New Zealander and mother a Singaporean, was also a finalist in The 5 Search but was booted out in Week 1. She’s now in Tanglin, playing bubbly nurse Elaine who works alongside James Kumar’s Dr Arjun.
Where have you seen her before? Well, you probably haven’t even though the 23-year-old model turned-actress was last year’s Miss Singapore Universe. The beauty queen was chosen in a closed-door recruitment and selection process and her coronation was announced at a F1 after-party/fashion show.
Playing a nurse is a walk in the park for her. “It’s not a challenging role. I just have to appear sweeter and more gentle ’cos I can be a bit rough sometimes in real life. I haven’t done anything [that involves technical skills] on the show. My role is just to talk to Dr Arjun (James Kumar) and flirt with him occasionally. It wasn’t awkward [flirting with him]. I feel like I’m a natural (laughs)!”
