Global Brands Affirm Success And Contentment At Baselworld 2018

Hailed as “A unique meeting place for the best in the industry” and as “An indispensable platform”, Baselworld 2018, the world’s best watch and jewellery show, concluded on March 27th garnering positive reviews from exhibitors and visitors.

The show was inaugurated on the 22nd of March by Federal Councillor Doris Leuthard in a grand opening ceremony. Sylvie Ritter, MD, Baselworld, stated that this year’s show was a success and best names in the business like Rolex, Swatch Group, Patek Philippe, LVMH, Chopard, Breitling, Chanel and many others have confirmed participation in Baselworld 2019.

Increase in visitors

This year’s reports confirm an increase of 8% in the number of visitors on the first two days of the show. The Baselworld team confirmed that even after the show was reduced to six days from the usual eight days’ format, the number of visitors remained the same on the rest of the days and overall, and this kept the exhibitors highly contented. There were fewer exhibitors this year compared to last year.
