The farmer, Blayne Hallam, from near Bourne in Lincolnshire, agreed to me getting out the farm’s collection of balers and so the line-up in the field consisted of:

IH 784 with an old lorry trailer
IH 885XL with a New Holland 841 round baler
Case IH 4240 with a Welger 83 conventional baler and Cooks eightbale sledge
Case IH MX110 with a four-wheel trailer
McCormick MTX125 with a New Holland 650 round baler
McCormick MTX175 with a New Holland BR7060 round baler
Sanderson TL7 loader with ‘flat eight’ grab “
