Antony has always been more of a German / Japanese car guy, however, the coolness of an American Muscle car from the ’60s has always fascinated him and he has driven many muscle cars.
He then decided that if he was going to invest in American muscle it would have to be something of an oversized nature because, in his opinion, that is half the lure of the American cars. The Ford Galaxie was one of the cars on his list and it had to be a coupe.
He found this car in a garage and it had been standing on stilts for 22 years. The previous owner who was the 2nd owner had health issues and this was the reason for it being in that state for so long. They even found the license disc which dated back 21 years! The seller had used the car for road trips across South Africa in his younger years. This was documented and he had clearly enjoyed these trips in the Galaxie.
