The New Q7’s Innards Revealed. And It’s Ridiculous

When you think of the Audi Q7, what’s the descriptor that pops into your head? Big? Capacious? Luxurious? Narcotics? Anxiety? The last two are what I associate the car with. It’s not Audi’s fault; it’s just that India’s famous folk have lapped the car up with some serious intent (the previous gen one, anyway), almost as if Audi offered a few ‘freebies’ along with the car. Anyway, I digress. Point is that the Q7 remains one solid, heck of a capable SUV.

This write-up comes to you courtesy a new engine. But before I get into that, let me give you a few key things to keep in mind. First off, the Q7 on these pages weighs 2.8 tonnes. Last I checked, that is roughly the same amount of rubbish a boisterous teenager spews to his first girlfriend every hour. In other words, that’s no insignificant amount.
