Heaven Would Surely Approve of This Run; Saints and Sinners Both.

Saintly Shindig

It’s a simple philosophy, “We just ride motorcycles and have fun,” was the response I got from Mike Lelliott, founding partner of motorcycle clothing brand Saint Unbreakable, when I asked him how he has built the community that he has around the brand.

This philosophy is so evident in every event that these guys put on. Whether it’s a ride, a pop-up store or a shop party, the vibe is always FUN!

The meeting point for this ride was the Saint flagship store on Johnston Street Fitzroy, 9am Saturday for a 10am ride off. Free coffee was flowing from a coffee cart set up out back of the store and bikes lined the side alley and Johnston Street like a display of motorcycle dominos.

Every genre of bike was represented in the 80-plus bikes present, which was something that stood out to me. These guys are crossing boundaries and appealing to every rider.

There is no ‘exclusive club’ here. The inspiration behind the brand is aligned to Hunter S Thompson talking about that place where fear becomes exhilaration. “The only sounds are the wind and a dull roar floating back from the mufflers.” A description, I believe, that every rider who has has pushed themselves to the ‘edge’ can relate to.

After Mike’s brief welcome and route overview, we geared up.

It was so good to see the Saint staffpresent and riding. Even those who don’t ride, were riding bitch to be a part of it. Another tick from me.
