Big Indian Bash

We were invited to join members of the Indian Motorcycle Riders Group’s Mumbai chapter on a ride to Kodagu (erstwhile Coorg), and attend the third IMRG National Ride. Here’s everything that happened at the event.

I’VE BEEN RIDING for two days now: the first day was 650-odd kilometres from Pune to Shimoga, the second 280 km onwards to our final destination of the capital of the Kodagu (Coorg) district, Madikeri. My steed has been the debonair Indian Scout and my companions are members of the Indian Motorcycle Riders Group (IMRG), specifically the Mumbai chapter.

In our convoy we have a wide variety of Indian bikes ranging from the Scout to the Chief Vintage and the Chieftain, and the sonorous beat of the Thunder Stroke 111 V-twins is the soundtrack to our ride. I’ve been having a pretty good time rubbing shoulders and sharing banter with my fellow riders as we cover mile after mile, the bikes keeping up a steady and unwavering pace, while we comfortably rest in their saddles. The owners I rode with are a great bunch of men and women who share a thirst for two-wheeled adventure and an unbridled passion for their bikes
