Traditionally grounded but built to be light and breezy, this family home in South India by Thought Parallels Architecture is free of barriers and architectural rules

THE tropical climate of Kerala was the driving factor behind the design of this home by Nikhil Mohan and Shabna Nikhil of Thought Parallels Architecture. The architectural genre, spatial language and form developed from its setting, showing signs in the facade and the interiors.
Another factor for consideration was, of course, the client’s requirement. A family from Bahrain owns this home and was looking for a residence with a strong traditional touch that would make them feel at home in the city. Contemporary styling completes the look and feel of the home for them.
