Shanghai Swans are serene for league victory

The Shanghai Swans GCL squad claim their third podium finish of the season, chased home by “local” pack London Knights in this 16-leg team series

THE Chelsea crowd were denied a home team win in the Global Champions League (GCL) when Shanghai Swans riders Christian Ahlmann and Max Kühner pipped the London Knights duo of Emily Moffitt and Nicola Philippaerts to win with four seconds in hand.

Both teams carried through zero scores from the first round but Christian (Solid Gold Z) and Nicola (Katanga Van’t Dingeshof) jumped for four penalties in Saturday’s concluding leg.

Christian’s team-mate Max responded with a great clear on Up Too Jacco Blue to secure the Swans the top spot on the podium for the third time this season.
