Gromit The Rockstar

There are very few cats, no matter how long they are shown, or what they achieve, that belong in the “rock star” category. In pedigreed cats, we have a few that have become legendary.

If you were one of the few to have been honored by having been owned by any of these incredible creatures, you understand. I was one of those lucky people, so I believe I can recognize another such cat.

Thus far, GHD, HNW Gromit has been the only HHP to achieve this status.

For those of you who did not have the chance to meet her, Gromit was the ultimate rock star. It would be like missing a chance to meet the Beatles. You knew when you saw her that she was something very special.

Gromit was born in April 2000, as a feral in the backyard of Julie and Margaret Benzer’s parents’ home. She began her show career six months later and went on to show for 19 ½ years. In that time, she won 19 regional awards, three national awards and was the first Grand of Distinction HHP.
