Cornwall Celebrates 50 Years
Cage & Aviary Birds
|April 5,2017
MEMBERS of Cornwall BS decided to get their act together and organise a celebration of the club’s golden anniversary (50 years) with a well-attended dinner in November 2016, writes Fred Wright.
-

In total, 54 people attended the Inn For All Season just outside Redruth. President Maurice Roberts welcomed everybody there.
It was a great evening. Jeff Attwood led the celebrations with an entertaining speech about the club, some of its past and present members and then proposed a toast. Several former members attended with their partners and these included Brian (better known as Jimmy) Sandow with his wife, Sally. Rodney Harris and his wife were present – it was Rodney who held the club together several years ago but he has now retired from keeping budgies.
