The topic on everyone’s lips is definitely the extreme cold we experienced this winter! I can’t recall the last time I felt so cold while we were in the veld. The wonder of it all is the good times we had in front of the fireplace and around the fire. However, I must confess that the evenings around the fire were shorter than usual. At the beginning of the year, we decided to place some of the old articles that were published years ago for the next 12 months. There are many excellent articles, and time is running out, so I’ve decided to feature two articles this month – a story about a much younger Stefan Fouché and his friends hunting buffalo, and a look at the life of Johan Calitz. This article was published in December 2015.
