No, dear reader, this edition is not devoted to global warming, deforestation or any other environmental issue, for that
matter. We have gone green instead in the golfing sense! October and November are the best months for golfing here in
the Algarve, so linking in with the Portugal Masters golf tournament being held at Vilamoura, we bring you this special
golfing edition, packed full of essential reading for the golfer. We start with a trip down memory lane, looking back to the
early 1970s when the Algarve\'s first European tour event took place at Penina, then over the years of the many Portugal
Opens at Quinta do Lago and the great names like Colin Montgomerie, who had his first major win there. More recently,
we look at the last few years of the Portugal Masters and other golfing greats who have graced our fairways.
This edition also sees the return of our special golfing property report, last published in 2011, where we compare the real
estate offerings of the Algarve\'s numerous golf resort developments.
