The month of love is here, and with it comes its own pressures!!! I personally think you can measure the strength of a relationship based on how partners deal with the red cloud that is Valentine's Day. Some love it, some hate it, some love to love it, and some love to hate it. Whichever you may be, ensure that your partner knows what you expect. If, like me, it is no big whoop, then say so. But only if you mean it! Do not say "Valentine's Day is really a day created by the cards and gifting business to make an extra buck and I really do not care much about it, or cards, or gifts, or flowers, or chocolate," and then sit there hoping that he will read between the lines and get you said card, gift, flowers and chocolate all topped off with an elaborate dinner for two! If there is something I have learnt about men in my short life, is that they are extremely simple beings! Keep it simple and reduce all risk of unhappiness and drama by stating your expectations well before hand.
