A 'bunny' kind of love

When a real-life Easter Bunny shows up in her yard, Emma never expects to fall for its handsome owner...or get a second shot at love

Mom! The Easter Bunny’s in our backyard!” my daughter, Shelley, exclaimed, running in from the yard. This should be interesting,

I thought, ruffling her hair. “Ooh…let’s go see!”

We ran outside, and sure enough, there was the cutest, fluffiest bunny I had ever seen: floppy ears, a puff of a snow-white tail and a pink bow wrapped around one of its ears.

“Isn’t that bow the cutest, Mom?! That’s why I know it’s the real Easter Bunny!” my daughter said importantly.

“Honey…” I didn’t want to dash her hopes, but my thoughts were interrupted.

“Missy! There you are!” came a voice from over the fence. And then I saw the face that went with it—oh, my. Vivid blue eyes, jet-black hair and a smile that lit up his whole face. Which turned to a frown in a nanosecond.
