Here we are, Clara's Boutique,' Millie said, coming to a stop in front of a shop with an elaborate floral window display. 'Let's hope they have “the one”. But it looks expensive - the sort of place where you need to make an appointment.'

Harriet peered through the window, shielding her eyes. 'I can't see any customers. We may as well go in. After all, we've tried everywhere else.'

Millie went to say something but Harriet was already opening the door and stepping into the boutique, her entrance announced by the tinkle of a bell.

'Ooh, that's lovely!' Harriet smiled. 'You don't often hear that these days.'

A woman in a powder blue suit looked up from her laptop and smiled.

'Good afternoon, ladies. How may I help?' She approached Millie. 'Are you looking for a wedding dress?'

Millie nodded. 'Erm, yes. I don't know if it's by appointment only though.'

The woman smiled. 'That's quite all right. As you can see, we're not exactly busy' She gestured a manicured hand to the empty store.

'So, I can show you some of our gowns. Do you have a particular style in mind?'

'Oh, my friend is the one who's getting married.'

Harriet stepped forward. 'Yes, I'm the blushing bride.'

'Oh, I'm sorry. Well, erm, do you have a style in mind?'
