I get that - dogs decide they love you within about 10 seconds, while with a cat, you have to earn it. I actually love that. There's something deeply satisfying about winning over a creature that doesn't give affection away lightly.

I adore dogs too, but if someone said 'You can only live with a cat or a dog for the rest of your life', I'd have to go with a cat.
