When asked what they did for their 30th wedding anniversary, it seems fitting that Kate Dalton, 57, giggles as she reveals they were in situ on their favourite couch, “We had previous commitments... filming for Gogglebox!”

And while hubby Matt, 57, is quick to confirm that the pair will celebrate down the coast with their bridal party, their laidback attitude is typical for the fan favourites and Gogglebox OGs. The Melbourne-based husband and wife duo and their daughters Holly, 25, and Millie, 27, have been on the show since the first day of filming and are just as lovely off screen as they are on - so it’s little surprise their love story is just as sweet.

Chatting to Woman's Day on the week of their pearl wedding anniversary last month, Matt reveals the pair had a classic meet-cute at a wedding before Matt, who is now a celebrant but back then was a secondary school teacher, decided to invite Kate on a very unconventional first date!
