The wildlife warrior is taking his romance with Heath’s niece to the next level

Loved-up Robert Irwin is ready to leave the roost to spend more time with his girlfriend Rorie Buckey and her family in Perth.

Friends say the young lovebirds - who looked besotted at the Mission: Impossible premiere in Sydney in June - are getting tired of flying between WA and Queensland to see each other, and the wildlife warrior is now taking matters into his own hands.

GOING THE DISTANCE

"It's a real pain," says a family friend. "Right when they want to really explore their relationship, they have this hellish distance between them. Rorie's stuck in Perth with her studies so the logical solution is for Robert to move there - at least for a while and her folks are absolutely adamant that he stay with them." Rorie is the niece of late Aussie actor Heath Ledger - her mum, Kate Ledger, is the star's sister.
