BEN'S BEEN A ROCK FOR CAT

The This Morning stars have formed a close bond amid her split from husband Patrick

For Cat Deeley, 2025 is unlikely to be a year she remembers with unbridled joy. While her career move to presenting This Morning four days a week in term time has been largely smooth so far, she’s also been dealing with the fallout of her split from her husband of more than 12 years, Northern Irish presenter Patrick Kielty.

However, she has been able to lean on one friend in particular through the tricky times, her This Morning co-host Ben Shephard. While the pair didn’t know each other well before they began presenting the show together in March 2024, it appears they have forged a friendship that seems largely to have been kept away from the media but one that has been helping Cat deal with the pain of her split – which was announced in July of this year.

It’s maybe no surprise that the pair have perhaps tried to keep their friendship a secret, the public probably have no idea that Ben and his wife are such good friends with Cat. They haven’t all been pictured like their predecessors Holly and Phil often used to be and it’s understandable, after all – they have come under huge scrutiny as a new presenting duo since taking the job and barely knowing one another.
