Louise Redknapp talks to Fearne Cotton about mental health, divorce and finding love again

She rose to fame more than three decades ago as part of the girl band Eternal, but in recent years Louise Redknapp has stayed relatively out of the public eye.

In 2017, shortly after her stint on Strictly Come Dancing, the star's life took an unexpected turn when her marriage to footballer Jamie Redknapp ended after two decades together, with Louise saying she'd 'lost herself' and 'become a sort of Stepford wife'. 'I was pretty much as low as a human can get,' she reflects. But, now back with a new album, Confessions, Louise, who has been dating CEO Drew Michael since October 2023, is feeling stronger. 'I think I'm quite a spiritual person as far as I believe in the universe and all of those things, putting things in your path and things happening for a reason,' she told Fearne Cotton's Happy Place podcast, adding, 'It's really easy to lose sight of that when you're going through a tough time.' Here, the singer opens up about her public divorce, going on antidepressants and coming out the other side.
