Kevin has an imaginery conversation with his dad
Kevin has an imaginery conversation with his dad
My dad died in 1964. I keep thinking of a conversation we might have if he were to call up to find out what was going on. Obviously, we'd talk about family first, long and hard. Then he'd want to know about life on Earth.
I reckon his first question might be: “Can cars fly yet?” (That’s what we all imagined in the '60s.)
I'd have to tell him, “No. Too many planes up there now anyway. Driverless cars, though.”
“Driven by robots?”
“No, by computers.”
“Computers?”
“Ummm...stunningly swift machines.”
“Anyone on the Moon,” my dad would ask.
