Longtime couple Saadhya Singampalli and Ashwin Reddy celebrated their Telugu roots at a tropical wedding in Bali

Love today may be engineered by algorithms, but New Yorkers Saadhya Singampalli and Ashwin Reddy found it the old-school way—over shots at a college party. “A frail kid with a too-short buzz cut, I didn’t quite have the game to keep the conversation going much longer,” says Ashwin sheepishly. However, fate had bigger plans, and the two ran into each other the following night as well. Phone numbers were exchanged, and a summer of endless texting ensued. “We were excited to get back to university and hang out with one another. From there, we spent more and more time together, until it was official,” adds Saadhya.

“It's hard to imagine two people more suited for each other,” says Meha Bakshi, the couple's best friend. "No couple can dominate a dance floor like these two can, whether it's E-40 or 'Chaiyya Chaiyya'. A lot of their wedding was watching them hype each other up on the dance floor, just like they hype each other up in life too.”
