2.5 Billion ACTIVE DEVICES DRIVE RECORD PERFORMANCE ACROSS THE HARDWARE LINEUP
Techlife News

Apple is rewriting benchmarks. Revenue hit an all-time high of $143.8 billion in its latest quarter, up 16% year-over-year and surpassing Wall Street estimates by roughly $5 billion.

Services reached $30 billion (up 14%), and operating cash flow set a record at $53.9 billion. CEO Tim Cook called it a "remarkable, record-breaking quarter," noting that 2.5 billion active devices are now on the Apple Ecosystem, with growth showing no signs of slowing down.
2.5 BILLION DEVICESIn an era with more than 2.5 billion Apple devices, the standout driver might surprise you. It's the iPhone 17 Pro Max, whose popularity has strained supply chains. Cook described demand as "simply staggering," with the company in full "supply chase mode" amid constraints on advanced memory and custom silicon production. Pro models, including the Pro Max, accounted for a dominant share of sales. Analysts estimate Pro and Pro Max account for around 52-56% of U.S. buyers, driven by pent-up upgrade demand among users holding devices four-plus years old (an estimated 315 million globally). This surge propelled Apple's active installed base to more than 2.5 billion devices, up 150 million from the 2.35 billion reported in January 2025. It's the first major update to this metric in a year, underscoring loyalty and ecosystem stickiness: high satisfaction drives retention, upgrades, and services attach rates.
This milestone isn't abstract. The 2.5 billion figure, spanning iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and more, represents an unparalleled platform for future innovations. As Cook noted, "Our installed base now has more than 2.5 billion active devices, which is a testament to incredible customer satisfaction for the very best products and services in the world."
