With added spatial audio and crisp call quality via the charging case, are Nothing's third-gen in-ears a real step up in class?

Nothing hasn't abandoned its penchant for transparent tech, but there are now added metal elements - so the Ear 3 charging case feels more high-end than previous versions. The angle of the buds has also been tweaked for extra comfort. I can't fault the fit, which kept them in place even while jogging.

The energetic default tuning won't please everyone but these are still a very good listen. They deliver a little more bass than previous efforts, while the more pronounced highs stay on the right side of sharp... but rivals sound more nuanced.
