One of Xiaomi's affordable sub-brands has been copying the other's homework. Has Poco done budget better than Redmi?

The M8 Pro is Poco's take on the Redmi Note 15 Pro+, with one or two things dialled back to hit an even more wallet-friendly price point.

The two look largely identical, but here the rear island holds a 50MP lead camera rather than a 200MP one. Not that you'd notice, as picture quality is very similar, even when cropping in for 2x 'zoom'. It's decent budget blower fare.

Performance comes from the same mid-tier Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset as the Redmi. It's smooth enough, opening apps without much delay. Graphically intensive games default to low settings but remain playable.
