Dell UltraSharp 32 4K Thunderbolt Hub Monitor (U3225QE)
PC Pro
|July 2025
Gorgeous, high quality and supremely well connected, which very nearly justifies that price
PRICE £790 (£948 inc VAT) from dell.com
There are several things about Dell's latest UltraSharp monitor that make it special. One is that it uses an IPS Black panel, promising far deeper blacks than normal IPS panels; another its ludicrous levels of connectivity, built around Thunderbolt 4; and the third is that it escapes Dell's new branding of Dell, Dell Plus, Dell Premium to indicate good, better, best. Perhaps it's so spectacularly good that even the word “Premium” can't contain it?
Weight is given to this argument by the most striking IPS panel I've seen on a desktop monitor. If you're upgrading from a five-year-old IPS display then the colours will slap you in the face, and due to its rich contrast (2,550:1 in our tests) and huge colour gamut this is a natural choice for entertainment. With the crisp whites you'd expect from IPS technology and DisplayHDR 600 certification, it’s a great choice for those who need to mix work with viewing pleasure. Although oddly it doesn't include any speakers.
