MONSTER HUNTER WILDS
PC Gamer US Edition
|August 2025
Make your adventure even wilder with mods.
Monster Hunter Wilds hasn't had the warmest reception on PC. Sure, it's sold millions of copies, and it's just about the best game you'll find about hitting dinosaurs with giant hammers, but there have been plenty of technical problems along the way. Visit its Steam page and you'll see Capcom's open-world action game hasn't pulled out of its reviews nosedive, with a score of 'Mixed' and about a 65% approval rating since its launch in February.
Unfortunately modders can't fix everything, but they're always willing to give it their best shot, aren't they? Dozens of mods popped up the same day Monster Hunter Wilds launched, and that was just the beginning as expert enthusiasts began creating performance tweaks, gameplay changes, quality of life fixes, and plenty more.
Before you get to installing mods, you'll need to install mods that let you install mods. Your first stop is REFramework on either Nexus Mods or GitHub, and make sure you carefully follow the instructions there-thankfully, it's pretty easy to set up. You should also grab Fluffy Mod Manager (also from Nexus Mods), which will make installing and uninstalling mods a simple drag-and-drop affair. If performance has been an issue for you, try Special K, by Kaldaien, which you'll find on GitHub. This utility was created for Nier Automata and can be used on a whole bunch of PC games, Monster Hunter Wilds included. It won't fix all your performance woes, but it may improve frame-gen and you can also use it to set a framerate limiter that often works better than the ones you find in-game.यह कहानी PC Gamer US Edition के August 2025 संस्करण से ली गई है।
