COMING IN AT least $100 cheaper than Apple’s most affordable Magic Keyboard for iPad, Zagg’s Pro Keys Connect is a slightly different proposition. Like Apple’s models, there are a wide range of sizes to suit different iPads, although not all are supported; ours was for the 10th-gen, 10.9-inch iPad with A16 chip, but recent 11-inch models, and some others, are also catered for.

The keyboard case uses a passthrough USB-C port to connect to your iPad, which powers the accessory — no Bluetooth or battery. The idea is that the connection is faster and more stable, and it performed well in use.
