Wickedly fast and wickedly expensive, but boy what a tablet...

iPad Pro 13-inch (2025)

THERE'S A LOT TO love about Apple's brand new iPad Pro. Now equipped with an Apple silicon M5 chip, it's not only the most powerful iPad Apple has ever made; it retains all the standout features of its M4 predecessor's 2024 redesign, while also giving them a boost. Example? Where last year's iPad Pro featured WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and Thunderbolt 3 connectivity, this new model gets faster WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thunderbolt 4. And that's just the start.

Available in either Space Black or Silver, and measuring up to 0.21 inches thin, the iPad Pro is available in 11-inch and 13-inch guises, with prices ranging from $999 for a WiFi only 11-inch version with 256GB of storage, rising to a dizzying $2,599 for a 13-inch WiFi + Cellular version with 2TB of storage and nano-texture glass, but without a Magic Keyboard (from $299) or an Apple Pencil Pro ($129). That top spec puts the iPad Pro firmly in MacBook Pro territory, with $2,499 netting you a MacBook Pro with 16-inch Liquid Retina XDR display, a 14-core CPU/20-core GPU M4 Pro chip, 24GB of unified memory and 512GB of storage. The iPad Pro is arguably more versatile, though.
