Braided Solo Loop

Apple has introduced a new addition to its long-running Black Unity collection with the debut of the Black Unity Braided Solo Loop for Apple Watch, extending the company's annual Black History Month initiative into 2026.

The band is available to order starting this week, with in-store availability beginning later this week across Apple's global retail network. The new band continues Apple's tradition of combining product design with cultural recognition, and follows several previous Black Unity releases that have included Apple Watch faces, wallpapers, and limited-edition bands. Like earlier editions, the 2026 Black Unity Braided Solo Loop was created by Black creatives and allies working across Apple's design, engineering, and retail teams, ensuring the collection remains rooted in voices and perspectives from within the communities it seeks to represent.

APPLE DESIGNS THE BAND AROUND PAN-AFRICAN COLORS AND MATERIAL INNOVATION

Visually, the Black Unity Braided Solo Loop draws directly from the Pan-African flag, weaving red, green, and black into a layered, dimensional pattern. Apple says the band uses multiple shades of each color rather than a single flat tone, allowing the surface to shift subtly as light moves across the braid. That depth gives the band a richer, more tactile appearance compared to previous Unity editions.
