Tigers chasing dream double

NICKY Smith insists Leicester Tigers will be content not unless they complete a "dream double" as Michael Cheika's men target domestic and European glory.

They saw off Exeter 28-15 yesterday and Wales prop Smith hopes that helping to stash some more silverware in the Welford Road cabinet will aid his cause to earn a Six Nations start in Paris.

Smith, 30, is "loving" his first season in English club rugby after making the switch from Ospreys in the summer. He says Tigers are already in his blood and claims it will be an even better decision to move to Leicester if it culminates in silverware.

Tigers face a crunch few weeks ahead in their desire to add to their 2023 Premiership success, and also bridge a 16-year gap since their last appearance in the top European final.

They face Ulster at home on Saturday, and then a huge visit to Toulouse having made a mixed start - losing to Bordeaux before crushing Sharks.

Asked what would be a successful campaign for Tigers, Smith replied: "To win two trophies, 100 per cent.
