JAMIE George’s dream of a third Lions tour failed to turn into reality but the experienced hooker is hell-bent on finishing the club campaign on a high.
Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall insists the veteran forward can shrug off his latest selection setback and remain ready for a busy summer with England if required.
It's been a frustrating personal season for George with the snub by Lions boss Andy Farrell coming on the back of him losing the England captaincy to new Lions leader and club pal Maro Itoje.
And even with Luke Cowan-Dickie heading down under on tour, George could face a struggle to get his hands back on the No.2 jersey in Argentina and USA, with head coach Steve Borthwick eager to give certain players more valuable international experience as he builds his squad for the 2027 World Cup.
