And delighted Heed manager Carl Magnay admitted that Solihull’s woes had been a topic of conversation going into the game.

“We spoke about a fast start and their recent run and how that may affect them from a psychological point of view so we wanted to capitalise on that,” he explained.

“It couldn’t have gone better in the opening stages and the lads drew a lot of confidence from it.

“We continued to hurt them and scored three goals having had relative control of the game.

“Solihull are tough opponents who are obviously going through a bit of a struggle at the moment. We just hoped that when things clicked for them it wasn’t when we were in town but we never allowed that to happen.”
