FIVE-STAR CELEBRATION OF BILBAO LINK

Sheppey United, Bromsgrove Sporting, Evesham United, Steyning Town and Witton Albion are the sides benefiting from a link-up with the La Liga outfit, who play in the same coloured kit of red and white stripes.

The eight-time Spanish champions gifted them all multiple men's and women's Athletic Bilbao shirts to raffle off as well as a bespoke flag with the club crests and the Euskal Non-League Day flag to parade at their grounds.

Sheppey vice-chairman Lee Allen said: "I got an email land in my inbox, and it came from Athletic Bilbao. At first, I must admit, I thought it was a prank.

"Once I opened it up and responded to it, we had a really nice chat talking about both our football clubs and Athletic Bilbao's love for the English game.
