BUSY BEES READY TO REIGN IN SPAIN

The Southern Premier Central outfit announced on Wednesday that they would be heading to the Spanish capital as part of their preparations for the new campaign.

It’s the latest step in a burgeoning partnership with Spanish YouTube channel La Media Inglesa, which is devoted to English football and has now started arranging trips for fans to these shores.

The channel’s subscribers picked out Harborough as the perfect team to follow and more than 100 Spanish supporters turned up to enjoy their match against St Ives Town in April.

Now the Bees are preparing to head in the other direction in a tour they’ve arranged in conjunction with La Media Inglesa.

The squad fly out from Stansted on Thursday, July 17 and will have a match that evening against trialists and recently released players from Spanish leagues aiming to break into UK football.

There will be an open training session the following day before a match against Spanish third tier side AD Alcorcon at their 5,100-seater stadium just outside Madrid on the Saturday. The party fly home on the Sunday.
